This report, brought to you in collaboration with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator examines the relationship between vehicle standard non-conformities and the safety performance of a heavy vehicle operator.
There is little data in this space, predominantly because of a separation between the organisations who hold data on vehicle condition and organisations who have access to data on crashes.
This research brings together NTI’s extensive data on Australian heavy vehicle road crashes with the vehicle condition data held by the NHVR.
